REFUND POLICY – Please read before booking your ticket:
We cannot process refunds for any ticket cancellations that occur within 30 days prior to the event start date. Please ensure you are able to attend and are committed to the date before booking your ticket, it helps us run a smoother tournament and means we are not losing out having to refund late drop outs.
Tournament Rules:
Army Composition:
Each player will select a Mid War army at 100 points, conforming to standard Flames of War army composition rules using the latest "Dynamic Points". Every player's army must be fully painted though historical accuracy is not necessary within colour schemes. Miniatures however must be WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) i.e., each model should be constructed to accurately depict the type of vehicle, infantry or field gun that it is intended to represent on the battlefield and no proxying is permitted with armaments etc.
Players may take a warrior for free in their force up to a value of 5 points, if the warrior is more than 5 points then they must pay the difference out of their 100pt allotment.
30 VEHICLE CAP IS IN PLACE. Inclusive of half tracks, unarmoured trucks and tanks alike. No army list may have more than 30 vehicles included overall.
Mid War Monsters are not permitted.
Dynamic Points:
We will be using the dynamic points system published by Battlefront through their Forces app. For more information on Forces head to:
https://forces.flamesofwar.com/
Please note that due to our position as a high street retail store, we do not permit the German swastika to be displayed on any models or accessories. We appreciate that Flames of War is a World War II strategy game, but we hope our players understand the controversial and offensive nature of the symbol regardless of historical accuracy. Please ensure if your models have any swastika emblems these are covered in some way. We will insist they are removed from play if this is not followed.
Tournament:
The tournament will be simple matched-play meaning there is no narrative aspect and thus it is possible to play against the same nation as yourself.
There will be three rounds over the day of swiss-style pairings. The first round will be drawn randomly and thereafter players will be paired by score.
Missions:We will be using the September 2024 Mission pack, if you do not have this please contact Harry Y through either the FoW Whatsapp group, Tabletop Republic Discord or Tabletop Republic contact email.
Scoring:
Scoring will be based on the victory points table as per the Flames of War rulebook. Points scored will be the first tiebreaker, followed by list submission and then unit kills.
Sportsmanship:
We expect all players to generally behave in a sporting manner. Pre-measuring is allowed in Flames of War and thus we advise communication as you go along is key to avoid disagreements – e.g. “are you happy that this is hull down?” when positioning in the movement phase is better than “I intended that to be hull down” in the opposition's shooting phase. Unseemly gamesmanship and outright cheating will of course not be tolerated.
Awards:
There will be awards for the following:
Tournament Winner
Second Place
Third Place
Best Painted Army
