Tabletop Republic 40K League - Season 2 Results

It's time for the results and write-up of the Tabletop Republic 40k League's Second Season, which ran from January - March 2022. This blog will go through each round's mission, player's secondaries and and other key info.

THE LEAGUE

This league came straight after the 1st season and had some small changes from the feedback of the first season.

Still at 1000pts and with the core league rules still the same, this season swapped to War Zone Nachmund rules onces that book came out partway through the season, and had some all-new custom/homemade missions too!

We had 18 signups to begin with, with 2 players being swapped out partway though due to other commitments.

THE FINAL TABLE

First things first - let's see the winners!

Tom M is officially, and unbiasedly, declared the winner of the league and the best ever player to ever exist! (in all seriousness, I'm not sure how I came out the other end of the league undeafeated - I'll go into more detail on my games later in the blog)

In 2nd place is Lawrence Hide's combat Crons, and in 3rd place is Jack Pugh's Tau (going undefeated after the new Codex drop!) Here's the Win/Loss table:

2 games could not be played in the last round due to time constraints: that being Jake G v Kieran M and Alex D v Thomas C (who was being "controlled" by Tom M in the last 2 rounds)

THE ROUNDS

In this section, I'll go through each round's mission, terrain and each game's scores (I won't show the full info such as secondaries chosen, etc as that'll take up a lot of room!

ROUND 1: FACE OFF (Custom Mission)

ROUND 2: RAID (Chapter Approved 2021)

ROUND 3: SACRED GROUND (War Zone: Nachmund)

ROUND 4: DECISIVE STRIKE (Custom Mission)

ROUND 5: RISE OF THE MACHINE SPIRIT (War Zone: Nachmund)

ROUND 6: RECONNISSANCE MISSION (War Zone: Nachmund)

SECONDARIES

Now it's time to showcase how each secondary scored throughout the 6 rounds of this season. Please note that this is obviously not the best method to see what secondary is best for you, as 1000pt games can be very skewed and some of these secondaries changed mid-season with War Zone: Nachmund

As you can see here, Engage on all Fronts was the most chosen secondary (same as Season 1), with Assassination, Retrieve Octarius/Nachmund Data, To The Last and Grind Them Down not far behind.

In terms of the top scorers, Oaths of Moments (Space Marines), Blade of Sanguinius (Blood Angels), Investigate Signal and Behind Enemy Lines were some of the top average scorers.
