About the event

  • In the south-eastern corner of the Ice Mountains rises Frost Peak, and it is in it's shadow that the forces of Evil, pushing over from the Abyss and the wicked land of Deiw have come forth to cut across the adjoining land that brings Nordgared to Mantica. Here they attempt to choke the pass between the two, cutting off the Northern Alliance from the south. A pact of terrible forces has mustered to render the continents apart, but stoic defenders have issued a rallying cry of their own and brought armies from all corners of Pannithor to push them back to the dread-lands they poured out from.
  • Welcome to the Battle of Frost Peak! The first in an annual tradition of Good vs. Evil “Ryder Cup” style Kings of War team tournaments!
  • The Battle for Frost Peak will play just like any other singles Kings of War tournament, and your individual ranking will be submitted to Kings of War Masters as normal. But ontop of this, there's a themed element of Good vs. Evil thrown in that we hope will make the weekend fun for all!
  • Each player will upon purchase of their ticket choose either “Good/Neutral” or “Evil/Neutral” as their force of choice. Thus, you can bring a Neutral alignment force on either team, but you must pick which team you are on when you book your ticket.
  • Then battle will commence!
  • The tournament will play as a standard swiss-style event usually does – with the first round being a random draw and then subsequent rounds being based on points scored. However, only pairings between the two teams will take place. i.e., the top ranked “Good” player will play the top ranked “Evil” player, and so on.
  • Choose your destiny. Upon purchasing a ticket, you will be required to select which alignment you will bring to the tournament. This is intended to be a fun, themed event that you can still by all means gain competitive ranking points from. However, please note we can't have takesies backsies when it comes to which alignment you select. Be prepared to plant your flag in the ground and do battle for whichever side you pick!
  • All players will receive either a “Team Good” or “Team Evil” t-shirt included in the ticket price. We can't force you to wear it all weekend but it would be good for us to take a few pictures of everyone wearing theirs. The winning team will receive winners' medallions, and of course the knowledge that they have either saved Pannithor from, or doomed it to, a horrendous fate!
  • There will be a bunch of other goodies and prizes across the weekend, as we want to make it packed full of Kings of War themed fun.
  • Other prizes will be:
  • Top ranked “Good” player
  • Top ranked “Evil” player
  • Most units destroyed award
  • Best painted army
