About the event
- MAGIC THE GATHERING MARCH OF THE MACHINE (MOM) PRERELEASE TOURNAMENT - Friday 14th April at Tabletop Republic High Wycombe -------------------------------------- TICKETS: - Tickets are £25, and available from TabletopRepublic.com/tickets - We cannot process refunds for any ticket cancellations that occur within 30 DAYS prior to the event start date. Please ensure you are able to attend and are committed to the date before booking your ticket, it helps us run a smoother tournament and means we are not losing out having to refund late drop outs.There are 12 spots available at this event. -------------------------------------- TOURNAMENT & RULES: - This is a sealed deck tournament, where decks are constructed from a prerelease kit, containing 6 packs of MOM & 1 promo card. - Your pack will be randomly chosen for you - and you will only recieve your pack if you play in the event (no getting the pack and leaving!) - Your prerelease deck must be a minimum of 40 cards - A land station will be provided to borrow land, but please bring your own wherever possible - All cards not used in your initial build go into your sideboard. Cards can be interchanged between your deck and sideboard between games and rounds. - The normal maximum of 4 of each card is not in effect - Aside from the above deck-building rules, all other rules are the same as a Standard game -------------------------------------- GAMES: - Games are best-of-3 and last 50 minutes - If a game reaches time, then the End-of-Match Procedure begins. The player whose turn it is finishes their turn, then 5 additional turns begin, starting with the opponent. There is an additional house rule that these 5 rounds have a time limit of 5 minutes due to time constraints. - If there is no winner after the 5 additional turns, that match is a draw. - There will be 3 rounds of games. - The first games will be random pairings, with the other 2 using swiss-style pairings -------------------------------------- SCHEDULE: 18:00 - 18:15 Registration 18:15 - 19:00 Deck Construction 19:00 - 19:50 Round 1 20:00 - 20:50 Round 2 21:00 - 21:50 Round 3 21:50 - 22:00 Results & Prizes - If everyone gets here early and is willing, the event can start earlier - Packs will be handed out at 6:15pm sharp, and deck construction ends at 7pm. - Deck Construction time includes sleeving - there will be no added time to allow for this so sleeve fast! - Any late participants who arrive between 6:15pm-7pm will still be allowed entry, but will get less time with deck construction. - Any late participants who arrive after the first round begins may be DQd from the event and will not receive their packs or any prizes. - There will be 3 rounds in the event due to time constraints. -------------------------------------- PRIZES: - All players receive the contents of their prerelease packs (inc. the 6 packs, 1 promo card) - All players will receive at least 1 booster pack for playing, with higher positions receiving more -------------------------------------- THE SHOP: - Please note the store will be operating as usual on the night, so please respect other games going on around you - This event is for Over 18s only (or 16+ if accompanied by an adult)
