ARMY RULES
Each player will select a Mid War army at 90 points maximum, conforming to standard Flames of War army composition rules. Every player's army must be fully painted, though historical accuracy is not necessary within colour schemes. Miniatures must be WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) in terms of unit type and armament, however in order to include more players that may not have the exact Pacific theatre models, some proxy in vehicle pattern and of course infantry uniform is permitted. I.e. it is fine to proxy standard western front British infantry models as a Pacific British Rifles unit etc. Any queries on this front can be sent to contact@tabletoprepublic.com
Wildcard units are not permitted.
Please note that due to our position as a high street retail store, we do not permit the German swastika to be displayed on any models or accessories. We appreciate that Flames of War is a World War II strategy game, but we hope our players understand the controversial and offensive nature of the symbol regardless of historical accuracy. Please ensure if your models have any swastika emblems these are covered in some way. We will insist they are removed from play if this is not followed.
There is no requirement to submit an army list ahead of time, but players must bring a printed army list for their opponent to assess.

THE TOURNAMENT
The tournament will be simple matched-play meaning there is no narrative aspect and thus it is possible to play against the same nation as yourself or allies. Consider it a training exercise!
There will be three rounds over the day of swiss-style pairings. The first round will be drawn randomly and thereafter players will be paired by score.
Missions will be rolled for once both players have declared their stance as either Attack, Defend or Manoeuvre. The tournament will use the February 2024 expanded missions pack, unless another is published at least two weeks prior to the event date, which we will communicate with attendees.
Scoring is determined using the standard Flames of War scoring method found in the core rulebook. A game win is worth 1 point. Games won will be the first scoring method, tiebreakers will be victory points scored followed by NET victory points, if required.
We expect all players to generally behave in a sporting manner. Pre-measuring is allowed in Flames of War and thus we advise communication as you go along is key to avoid disagreements – e.g. “are you happy that this is hull down?” when positioning in the movement phase is better than “I intended that to be hull down” in the opposition's shooting phase. Unseemly gamesmanship and outright cheating will of course not be tolerated.
